Sunday Worship Service

A worship service is a celebration of Jesus Christ. It is not a memorial for that would imply that He was gone. It is not a lesson or a commentary for that would imply that He was an idea or a doctrine which may or may not be true. Worship is a celebration because Jesus is gracious and caring and He is alive and currently among us. We celebrate the ongoing life of the Risen Christ.

The Bible depicts Jesus Christ as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He both stated and accepted the statement that He was the divine Messiah; the Savior of the world. Jesus accepted worship at various points throughout the New Testament. Those of us who have been touched by His healing/saving power can attest that He is the Lord and Savior of the world. God will share His worship with no other. Therefore we worship Christ as Lord.

Worship services at our church are blended in nature. We divide time between time-tested hymns of the faith and modern choruses. We celebrate the Lord's Supper monthly. Children's Church is provided in the basement during worship hour.
